I am going to create a db for an instance in UK. What should be the collation setting?
My model db says: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS. Is this ok for international standards? What difference does it make? Where can I find my windows2000 collation setting?
Thanks much.

Yes, SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS is the best option for most Western European Countries and the US. Ok some prefer a case sensitive collation, but I would keep it standard.

Anyone knows the difference between some of the different collations?
For example
SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS vs Latin1_General_CI_AS
Anyone did some performance checks between types of collations? How much faster is CS vs CI and BIN vs those?
