Hi All,
I have been playing around with the new policy managment system on sql 2008 and its quite cool.
One question though. I have registered servers in Local Server Groups which i can run policy checks on no problem.
But when it comes to add a server restriction policies it ignores them, i am running it against serveral sql 2005 instances, syntax looks good not sure why, for this to work does it need to be registered under CMS?
Cheers

(yes I know this is old)
It'd be helpful to see what your conditions looked like in order to troubleshoot a PBM issue like this. I have noticed that the out of the box policies (Best Practice policies from Microsoft) the server restrictions tend to act strange. They seem to be ignored but if you build your own condition from scratch that essentially does the same thing, it works.
