cmd shell .exe throwing out of mem exception

  I have a .exe that brings down a massive file into memory then dumps it locally. It's throwing an out of memory exception. So i had the server guys up the mem from 6 gigs to 18.

  I'm monitoring the memory usage and when it gets to 1.4 gigs it throws the memory exception again even though we upped the memory. Anyone ever have this issue before.

  sorry. posted to wrong site. this isn't a sql issue.

  it appears the developer is using 32 bit app and its running on 64 bit os. This only allows the 32 bit ap to use 1.5 gigs of memory
