Cluster hardware upgrade

    Hi guys, I have the following task at hand.

    I have a 2 node Win2003/SQL2000 active/passive cluster, using HP ProLiant DL 380 G4's. I need to upgrade the servers to DL 380 G5's, and I need to do this without losing the cluster. Has anyone done this kind of thing before, and/or can someone point me in the right direction if such a documentation exists?

    Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

    You should detach the passive node.

    Do the hardware upgrade.

    Add the node.

    Failover the node.

    Detach the passive node.

    Upgrade the hardware on the passive node.

    Attach the node.
