Client Tools SPs

    is there a way to find out whant version the SQL Server Client Tools are at on a workstation that only have the client tools installed on it?

    Hello Arthur,

    For Query Analyzer try Help>About to get the version number. It will appear something like “Version SQL 8.00.2039"

    The version number 2039 is SP4 and 760 is SP3a. 

    Enterprise manager is does not give as detailed version numbers. Try Help>About SQL enterprise manager to get the version number. It will appear with the version number for the MMC snap in.
