Hi guys,
I have a problem. Previously i was able to print from IE browser using the print icon in the reporting services report which i created in windows 2000. After switching to windows xp, i encountered a javascript error saying that "Object doesn't support this property or method."
Can someone help me on this? Do i have to install any other service pack or activex control or ??Any help will be appreciated!
Below are the configuration of my servers and also the client side.
"Server : Windows 2000, SQL 2000 sp4 , SQL 2000 RS sp2
Cient : Windows XP , Visual Studio 2003 , SQL 2000 RS sp2 "

Did you upgrade or do a clean install to XP? Can you remove the activeX control and re-install it? I know in XPSP2 you can go to the Tools|Manage AddOns menu option and then see the controls you've got installed, and disable them from there also.

Hi Steve,
Will try out your method. Let you know again.
There's another problem. Just realised that the same error occurs when i went to a normal pc without visual studio 2003 and reporting services installed. Does the client side needs to install anything inorder for the printing to work?
Anyone knows what's the problem?? Any help will be appreciated ! Thanks.

The client side printing needs the activeX control installed. This should install on the first attempt to print when using a machine without the control installed. I haven't tried the following but you could poissibly try to install the control manually using the cab file. Do a search for the cab in your Reporting Services (or even the root MSSQL) installation directory.

Hi Steve,
The RSClientPrint ActiveX control doesn't install on the first attempt to print. Have tried out on several normal user pcs and it just doesn't work and i get the same error on their pcs. However, i found out that it will install on the first attempt if the pc is installed with visual studio.net 2003. Even if i deleted the activex control and click the print icon, it will still get installed again. Strange isn't it?
Anyway, in the end, i decided to install manually using the cab file found in the bin folder. It works for both windows xp and windows 2000 for normal users who doesn't have reporting services and visual studio.net.
Thanks for your help !
