Hello Guru's
Client protocols are not visible in SQL Server Configuration manager and al= so unable to add the Alias under Aliases in the config manager, this is the= case with many of my SQL Server 2005 installations in my production enviro= nment.
As a temporary solution we are using cliconfg utility to add the aliases an= d work with the client protocols.
Can anybody tell why this happens on many of the SQL installations? Is ther= e any direct solution for this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards,

Are you trying to say that there is no "SQL Native Client Configuration" entry on the Explorer pans (the left-side pane) of the SQL Server Configuration Manager?
