  I've been wondering how to find settings for years.  Learned a lot on this question along with the last article before it: @@OPTIONS, bitwise comparison, Databasepropertiesex, dbname(), Sessionproperties and even Databaseproperty [do not use].  Some may be horrified but you can go a long way without knowing these things.  Knowing them will let me go further.  Thanks for the question and research it lead to.
