Charts in Designer are fine, but when deployed in IE, they appear messed up

  • In Designer preview its fine, when deployed, its messed up.

Any ideas how to fix this?
    Using 2008 r2 reporting server

  • Are you viewing the reports in IE or some other browser?  I find that in SSRS prior to 2016, it is best viewed in IE.  In 2016 they made improvemnets, but I do still find that IE works better.

The above is all just my opinion on what you should do.
As with all advice you find on a random internet forum - you shouldn't blindly follow it.  Always test on a test server to see if there is negative side effects before making changes to live!
I recommend you NEVER run "random code" you found online on any system you care about UNLESS you understand and can verify the code OR you don't care if the code trashes your system.

Tried, IE, Edge, Firefox and Chrome.

IE, believe it or not was the least messed up of all the browsers, but irrespective of browser, the charts are messed up.

Is it something to do with 2008 r2 reporting server?

  • Possibly?  I personally have not experienced that specific issue.

Are you using BIDS 2008 (inside Visual Studio 2008) to create the report?  I've seen other SQL things have issues with version differences before.

The above is all just my opinion on what you should do.
