HI
I am using SQL Server 2005 Express edition, The tables were created by a former employee. I have taken over the project. I had to create a temp user ID on my PC with the same name as the previous employee. To access the tables I have to log out of my computer and log back in as the other user, which is a pain in the ***. Can anyone tell me how to make the change so that I can log in as myself to the already created DB.
Thanks,
George

Hi George,
Do you have SQL Server Management Studio Express installed on the computer? If yes, then log back in as the other user, open management studio, connect to the database, Expand Security. Right-click on Logins and select New Login. Here you can add yourself, setup your password and access to the database.
