Hello friends,
Sometime ago, there was an issue with our normal service account and thus on the fly, I had to change the service account to use a new one. I was amazed when people started making noise! None of the reports were working and when I went to the report webpage, I foind that all the data sources were wiped out. Then I recalled that while changing the service account, I did not backup the encryption key.
Now, I have the same scenario in front of me for the same 2008 R2 server where the service account needs to be changed. I don't have any BI expert so I want to play safe. Did anyone of you expereincd or heard of the issue which I described above. What steps should I follow to make sure nothing changes except the service account.
Please help!
