I want to change the Server Network Utility TCP/IP from the default 1433 for my SQL Server's(both 7.0 and 2000).
If I set my SQL Server's Server Network Utility as below:
SQL1 - 5555
SQL2 - 6555
SQL3 - 7555
What do I put in my Client Network Utility???
I can only put in one setting here.
When I get our users to register these servers do they have to change their Client Network Utility, register the first server.....then change it again...register the second server, etc???

You can set up aliases for all your servers. Use the Alias tab (SQL 2K) and click to add a new alias. You can then set up all the information as needed for each server. Once the aliases are set, you should be able to go directly to "SQL1" or "SQL2" or "SQL3" without having to change ports, etc. again.

Why change these? Are they instances?
