hi all.
am about to change the sa password on a production server, but i need to make sure of one thing should i fix any thing after the new password or it dosent matter.

You need to find if any application is using this or not.
If yes, its not best practice and you have to change the connection string

yes i have already check this, and i dont have any application that uses sa account.

If sa login is used nowhere, then you are safe to reset the password.[/font]

Create a New User and assign it as sysadmin. Or Add your Windows ID in sysadmin Role. After you change the Original SA PAssword, you can undo the user Priviliges.
