Changing Host name effect sql replication ?

    Hi All,

    i am going to change my host name that are in win 2008 cluster with sql server 2005

    i have configured Transitional replication on both node .

    if i change the server name on cluster will my replication work ??? or i have to do something before doing this activity

    please guide me

    My guess is replication would not work. However, just make sure you script out the replication entirely before making any change.

    you're changing the node name and not the virtual network name is that correct?

    Yes you are correct , i am going to change node name .....
