I have an established transactional replication publisher and I would like to change the server that it uses as the distributor - from server A (SQL Server 2008) to server B (SQL Server 2012). Is there away to do that or do I have to script it all the publications and subscriptions, delete them and start over again? The publications and subscribers are not changing.
Thanks for the help,
Steve

Changing the Distributor sounds dangerous. I recommend that you start replication over from scratch if at all possible. If you can stop all database activity on the source database you can specify that the subscribing database is already up-to-date when you create the subscription. That will save you the extra step of the snapshot but I would only go this route if you have a really large amount of published data.
