  After installing an SQL 2005 cluster, is it possible to change the name of the instance? If yes, how?

  Any input will be greatly appreciated.

  Hi,

  It is not possible to change a named SQL 'instance' (e.g. Virtual Server\Instance).

  However it is possible to change a default instance by changing the Virtual Server name
