change maxsize for logfile in a DB

    Hello,

    Which permission needs to be set in order for a user to View and Change the log file maxsize after a database has been created? At present, once log/DB files are created the log files do not re-appear in the Properties --> Database files.

    ALTER DATABASE is the permission that a user must have to change the maxsize and it is only available for members of the sysadmin and dbcreator fixed server roles and the db_owner fixed database role.  It's not transferrable, so if a user isn't a member of one of the above roles, he can't make the change.
