Dears,
I need to change all the IPs related to a production DB (4 IPs (NICs , Windows and SQL) )
The database is sql 2000 SP4 and windows is 2003 SP2 . Clustered two nodes.
Have any one ever performed such action ? I need to make sure to perform the change smoothly without issues.
Thank you .

Hello,
Glad to see that we are not the only people on earth who still have to maintain a SQL 2000 cluster 😛
I never did this type of change myself but according the MS documentation http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc917693.aspx it is possible to add, change or update a TCP/IP address on a Virtual Server.
I would suggest to add the new IPs, validate it works then remove the old one, only possible of course if you do not move to a new network.
Please post your feedback, I am really curious how you are going to proceed.
Best regards.

Thank you. Actually its an old installation that's why I still have to handle such cases.
The provided article skipped the procedure to SQL cluster IP change. I think the procedure should be something like the below
1-Change the IPs of the domain controller ( which are the DB nodes)
2-Change the IP of the windows cluster
3-Change the IP of SQL cluster.
Hopefully you or someone else tried this before.
Thanks Again.
