Certification path

    Hi,

    Just need a litle advice what exams do i need or which path will i take for dba certification

    i'm an MCP - 70-228

    i'm just quite confused if i will take MC DBA before it resigned of should i jump to MCITP?

    If you're close to getting the MCDBA (one exam away) perhaps try to finish it. If not maybe consider doing the 2005 certs instead, or perhaps even going straight for the 2008 exams once they are released.

    Do you have experience with SQL 2005? Are you mostly working with SQL 2000 or SQL 2005?

    actualy i'm 3 more exam away from MCDBA.. and MS SQL 2000 is going to resign by 2009, if i'm not mistaken..

    i'm from philippines, and from my point of view, most databases here are MS SQL 2000.. and i wonder if they will shift to MS SQL 2005 since MS SQL 2008 is almost coming to the market..

    these things make me confuse of what should be my goal as a DBA
