Are you referring to something like SQL Server's "Multi Server Administration" or something else?

In BOL search for master you will see master server and slave server setups. This has a very limited use. It will allow you to schedule one job on a master server and have it run on slave servers at the same scheduled date. It is kind of a mess if a slave breaks and becomes dissassociated from the master. I use scripts to push jobs out to servers if they need to run on different schedules or use a single job on a single server to run osql statements against the servers in question and not push a job to them at all. I also have all servers report all errors back to a single management sql server and setup alerts and operators once on one box.
I tried running a search on MS site but they keep timing out to get you some additional information on this.
