CDC in Standard Sp1 with 120 compability level

  • Hi,
We should migrate MSSQL 2014 Enterprise to 2016 SP1 Standard.
Compability level should be the same (120 level).
I'm not sure if CDC (Change Data Capture) will be working.
Is anyone, who migrated CDC without changing compability level?

Curious, why the restriction on the compatibility level? Any particular problems you know of and trying to avoid?
   ,

  • Yeah, I am uncertain. Data Migration Assistant shows few behaviour changes like: ORDER BY ordinal, Unqalified Join(s), FOR XML AUTO queries return derived table references.

You need to test somewhere in your test environment . that will clear your doubt.
It is same functionality but you never what bug you will find.
