CDATA using xml explicit

  • Hello guys,

    I have someting like this:

    select * from

    (

    select

    Document_Template_Structure_Text as docTemplateTXT

    from

    Document_Template_Type

    where

    Document_Template_Type_Name = @Template_Name

    ) as docData

    for xml auto, root('Document')

    Now, i need to convert the returning column into CDATA. I am not sure how to do it. I know that I have to use XMl EXPLICIT for that. But I am not sure how to use it in this context.

  • If you would provide some ready to use sample data as described in the first link in my signature together with your expected result I'm confident we can help you.

    Based on the information so far all I can suggest is: look at the samples in BOL.
