Hi, I have a background in Physics and Mathematics.
I've been working with SQL Server for the past two years.
I'm currently working for a company focusing on report automation with SSRS.
I'd like to move in a direction where I get to use my math skills more.
I've done some work with data mining that I found kind of interesting.
I've also started to look at financial analysis.
Does anyone have any tips on MSSQL related career paths that would make use of a math background, and skills I might want to pick up to move in that direction?
As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

I think your move to data mining is in the right direction.
Mathematical skills are more likely used in the field of data mining/ analytics / data science.
Although there is also a lot of statistics there.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me on that.
Do you know of any training or certifications related to data mining that employers like?
