Hello,
I am one who has spent several years writing procs, building reports, and doing some admin work in SQL Server 2000. I am in need of some resources and input that will help me identify the direction I should continue in with my career.
I have not ventured into SQL Server 2005, but I am anxious to do so. What career profiles would apply for those who would likely have a lot of opportunities to use C# within SQL Server 2005? Would they more likely be administrators, database developers, BI types, or fall into some other database career category?
What direction(s) should I consider if Reporting Serivces has a great appeal to me? Are there opportunities to engage myself into .NET technologies in a Reporting Services/ Analysis Services role?
Would those who work in the Analysis Services realm likely use Integration Services, or would this be more of a DBA function?
What choices should I consider if I want to have .NET be the focus of just about everything I do as someone who interfaces with SQL Server 2005 every day?
Please share any opinions/ resource information you can offer.

Do you have any recommendations for books on relation algebra? I'll look into what Chris Date has written.
