Capacity of your databases?

  • HI folks,

Most of you guys are working in companies. I want to know what kind of databases do you support? how much big are they? What kind of industry will use them? i mean production or development or .......

    Thanks in advance.

  • I support databases in all sizes from a few MB to just under 1/2 TB in size.

  • Biggest one I've worked directly with hit 1.2 TB just before I left.

I'm curious. How will knowing what size DBs we've worked with help you in an interview?

  • I worked for a dot com that had almost a tb on SQL 7. I'm working now for an insurance company and we don't have any databases over 100gb (yet, a few of them are growing). It really depends on the business, the type of data collected, etc.
