Hello All,
I am trying to restore the database. I have saved the back up file in different server.When I am trying to browse to the folder where tha back up file is during restore, I could see the folder where I saved it but when I expand the node of the folder I couldn't see the back up file.The folder I saved the back up file is a shared one and service account has full permissions to the folder.
I am not getting what the issue is. Please help.I am working 2005 version.

That may be a GUI problem.
Can you try the script I've attached ?
It will generate a restore using the given path ( use a fully qualified name please ) using the instances default data and log file location.

Hello,
Please check may be you forgot to mention file extension(like .bak or .trn).
If yes then no issue.
In GUI-> locate database file window
SELECT
Files of type: All Files(*)
