This is driving us crazy.
I have 20 servers publishing a DB that is then replicated, via pull, to a central server. Working flawlessly.
One server, when I go to the subscriber choose publisher, I can see the server, but not the publication ????
Publishers are mix of NT4/SQL7 and Win2k/SQL2k, subscriber is NT4/SQL2k (although I just tried this from my XP/SQL2k box it is still not visible).
Every one is running via Domain Id, the Domain ID is local admin on each machine ???
A fellow DBs machine can't see any pubs, I can see most (all but this one).

Havent seen that. I use push almost exclusively these days. You're connecting as sysadmin?

These ids, and mine are all SA, I have locked down the actual SA userid.
I chose pull as these are mostly production servers, and the data is historical db usage type info, pulled to what is actually my lab machine. There I can analyze it etc. Actually I did the initial one as push, but reversed that a while back.
Kind of an advanced version of the routines they had in SQL Mag just recently. I've been building the scripts etc since August, and slowly propogating it to the various servers.

Note I then replicate from the lab server to my laptop, so I have the data with me.

No something about don't get sqeezed, and monitoring space usage. I have written a SP that runs nitely (probably eventually weekly) that extracts the amount of Dasd each DB is alloc's and using, number of rows in each table ... and dumps it into a DB, then I replicate that to a historical master on the lab server.
FYI I found the problem, I knew I had seen this before. The Publisher did not have the subscriber listed as a valid subscriber.
What got me really digging, if I clicked on a server that did not have publishing enabled I got a message not configed for publishing. But this server had a + next to it, but opened to nothing and NO msg. Then I read the fine print "Expand a publisher to display publications accessible by the login ...", the eyes are getting old. Put 2 and 2 together 4.735.
So I checked the PUBLISHER as opposed to the PUBLICATION tada there it was.
