I have SQL Server 2014 installed. I have full admin rights on my computer. I haven't had problems installing anything else. When I try to install BIDS for 2014 with the VS2013 shell I get a weird error that I've found no google results for.
I get the error shown in the attachment. It reads
The following error has occurred:
Attempted to perform an unauthorized action
There's no more detail. When I click cancel the install hangs and I have to kill it in Task Manager.
I get the same error whether on the previous screen I select New install or existing instance.
Any ideas?

Is there a file called Detail.txt in the SQL Server setup log folder? If so, please post its contents.

There is a Details file, but it is massive. Thanks for pointing me to it. I'm going to pass it on to the IT team and see if they can do anything with it. If not, I'll come back and post it here as an attachment.
