Hi, the "Import Data" wizard won't let me choose "drop and recreate existing table" for the table I'm importing, even though it already exists and has a different structure.
It's not a huge deal, I can just drop it manually, but I'm just wondering why it's happening. Any Ideas?

Is the check box for dropping and recreating the table greyed out when you edit mappings or do you get an error when you execute?

The text box is greyed out. "Edit SQL" is also greyed out.

I see what you mean. It seems to do that if you're importing to an existing table whether or not it has the same structure as the source table. I don't recall the wizard in SQL 2000 doing that. I guess we're stuck with dropping the table outside the wizard.
