My configuration : SQL Server 2005 x64 Enterprise Edition, 16 GB physical memory.
Today, I :
1. Set its Min. Memory : 2 GB, Max Memory : 14 GB
2. Used gpedit.msc to enable Lock Page
3. Restarted the SQL Server Service
4. I got these message in the ERRORLOG file :
2010-08-19 12:56:27.79 Server Large Page Extensions enabled.
2010-08-19 12:56:27.79 Server Large Page Granularity: 2097152
2010-08-19 12:56:45.38 Server Cannot use Large Page Extensions: Failed to allocate 32MB
2010-08-19 12:57:03.15 Server Using locked pages for buffer pool.
5. What is "Cannot use Large Page Extensions: Failed to allocate 32MB" ?
6. Is it a serious error ? How can I fix it ?

No. not helpful to me.
I still have these questions :
1. Do I need to handle this "Cannot use Large Page Extension" error ?
2. Or just ignore it ?
3. Is Lock Page always coming with "Large Page Extension" ?
4. Can I just enable Lock Page but not "Large Page Extension" ?
5. Is this "Cannot use Large Page Extension" error harmful to my SQL Server ?
