Hi All,
having a frustrating problem,
I have a default instance running 2008r2 enterprise (recently updated from standard). I've applied SP1 fine but I cannot install CU3. When i get to select features the MSSQLSERVER and Shared Features options are greyed out and i can't select them. i've tried restarting the server (its a test box) but the options are still greyed out.
Server properties: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP1) - 10.50.2500.0 (X64) Jun 17 2011 00:54:03 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7600: ) (Hypervisor)
File I'm trying to install: SQLServer2008R2-KB2261464-x64
Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers,

If you go to the KB article it details the build number
Note This build of this cumulative update package is also known as build 10.50.1734.0.
Your on a higher version than the CU already hence you cant downgrade
SP1 Build Number 10.50.2500
RTM CU3 Build Number 10.50.1734
