I have a central SQL 7 server that I use to administer other SQL 7 servers around the office using EM. However on some of them I can't seem to stop the SQL Server Agent. All servers are registered with the sa user but some of them give me Access Denied when I try to stop the service. Is this anything to do with the user account the agent is running under?
Thanks

Those servers may be in different domain than others that you have permission to start/stop services.
You can remote manage those serevers to start/stop services but you need to be local administrator in those machines.

I wasn't local admin on those particular servers - all sorted now.
Thanks
