cannot start service on first logon

  hello forum,

  i have problem to start service manager at the first time i use it after finished install the sql server 2000 developer edition. when i try to start the service from SQL Server Service Manager it says :

  "The service did not start due to logon failure , An error 1069 (The service did not start due to logon failure.) occurred while performing this service operation on the MSSQLServer service"

  i don't know how to solve this, someone please help me.

  FYI: i'm using the windows xp professional edition

  i've found it! I've gone to control panel and change my MSSQLServer service logon to localsetting, thanx forum!
