cannot see SQL server counters in perfmon

    Hello:

    Suddenly i dont see the sql server counters eg (sql server buffer manager cache hit ratio) when i want to add the counter in perfmon. Actually none of the SQL server counters are visible. However the windows counters are visible. Any ideas ?

    Do you see "Performance monitor shared memory setup failed: -1" in your SQL Server errorlog? If you are, call Microsoft to get fix and getting the fix is free.

    You are dead right. I see the message on in my errorlog. Do i have to call Microsoft ? We dont have paid support. Is there a download fix somewhere ?
