We have had SQLMail up and running for the last 7 months without any problems on our production server. I created a job that goes out and checks for new mail every 5 minutes. It stopped working on Saturday morning after our Exchange server was migrated to a new server. Now here's the wierd part, it still works just fine for our staging and development servers, which use the same mailbox/account.
We get the following error:
xp_findnextmsg: failed with mail error 0x80004005 [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 18025) Associated statement is not prepared [SQLSTATE HY007] (Error 0) Queries processed: 0. [SQLSTATE 01000] (Message 15079). The step failed.
Now when I have received this error in the past all I had to do was go clean up whatever garbage had been sent to the mailbox and all worked fine after. This time, there is no mail, let alone garbage mail in the mail box.
Anybody got any ideas on why this is happening and how to fix it?
TIA,
Angela

Try restarting the SQL services, SQL Mail is notorious for not being able to re-establish it's connection when Exchange is restarted.
