I cannot seem to install Sql server's Management Studio feature of the beta . All I get is the configuration menu options in my start menu. Please show me step by step how to install this feature. I am using IE6, sqlserver 2005 developer edition ctp, and windows xp sp2.

Are you sure that you are installing Developer Edition and not Express Edition?

Is it possible to install the Management Studio onto a Windows XP client?
I have searched Google to no avail. Any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I am sure its the developer and not express edition. The CD is labelled as: Visual Studio 2005 beta 2 developer edition CTP

I do not think it is possible to install the clients only, if that is what you are asking. Maybe with August CTP (if it ever gets here...) it will be possible.
If you are asking if it is possible to install SQL Server 2005 on Windows XP then yes, but not Enterprise, Standard or Workgroup Edition of course.

Just a guess, since I have not used that cd of course, but maybe the SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition is a separate installation? The Visual Studio 2005 installation installs the Express Edition of SQL Server 2005 (unless you choose not to install it of course).
