  Hi,

  I am trying to install MSSQL2000 Personal Edition on my laptop and get the following error

  A previous program installation created pending file operations on the installation machine. You must restart the computer before running setup.

  I am running Windows XP Sp2 and have mdac 2.8 so it's not mdac, any ideas?

  So did you restart the machine and try again, as the error states?
