When I try to connect to a SQL Server using an IP address that was just installed I get an error message saying: "Cannot Generate SSPI context". When I use the static IP of the server there are no problems connecting to this server.
Any idea?

Can this be in any way related to the fact that I'm using an environment where I have a domain with Win2000 domain controller but all or the servers in this domain are Win2003 server machines?
I tried most of the stuff written in the related microsoft documents

It coudl be. This is definitely an AD issue of some sort. I had this on one server and could not get rid of it, even ran the server under my account and tested and it didn't work. After much testing, it got left as a domain admin account for a couple weeks and then rebooted and we switched the account back and Shazam!!!, it's now working.
No idea why, but perhaps the reboot and running under a domain admin setup the SPN correctly.

I've had similar experiences to Steve, sometimes simply dropping and re-adding the login has fixed things.

Had this problem as well. Try running the server with no one logged in. Authentication will then occur using the credentials that were used when the server was first added to the domain and NOT the account logged on to the server.
