I created a DTS package on one of our servers, now when I attempt to edit it via Enterprise Manager I get the following error:
Error Source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package
Error Description: Unspecified Error
and then the package wizard closes. Any ideas?
We're using SQL Server Enterprise Edition
8.00.760 (SP3)

Additional info. I can edit it when I run Enterprise Manager on my development machine and connect to the server, but if I remote desktop onto the server and attempt to edit it I get the error.
The first step in the package is to run a batch file on the server which removes some old files. Then it uses the DTS FTP Task to pull down files and then imports them.

You may want to reinstall your client tools on the server. The DTS designer client may have become corrupted.

Our technical people who know way more about this than I do have told me not to run a DTS package on a machine being accessed by Remote Desktop. Unlike PC Anywhere, Remote Desktop apparently continues to use a combination of your workstation settings and those of the target machine, and the DTS package is unable to resolve this combination successfully.
