I created a report and am trying to deploy it on IIS and it throws the following error - 'Connection could not be made to report server http://localhost/reports'
I have been going through google and found that we need MSSQL.3 folder under this folder - C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server. The above mentioned folder is missing. I am using Visual Studio 2005. I have installed SP1 that came along with it. The reporting services that I am using is version Version 9.00.1399.00.
Also, the ReportServer service is missing from the Windows services list. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Before going down any other paths, or changing anything about your environment, change your url in the solution properties from http://localhost/reports to http://localhost/reportserver . You deploy to the back end, not the front end.
This assumes that you are designing on the server itself.

I reinstalled Reporting Service and this installed all the missing paths and I am now able to deploy reports properly.
Thanks
