cannot copy back up .. cyclic redundancy error

  I am trying to copy sql 2000 database backup file to sql 2005 backup folder to restore on my new machine. But i keep getting "cannot copy .. erro: data reducdancy , and it fail to copy. I don't understand what's wrong? I have sql 2005 developer edition.

  File being read by your 2005 server might be corrupted, it is nothing to do with sql...

  Check application/system log for disk errors...

  Try to restore the file where it is located to check the corruption..
