I am trying to connect using a development user that has the same windows permissions as the user.
I am creating the DSN from scratch (as it does not exist on the machine) and the user I am using has been added to the windows group as the other users.
However I have just found out that the other users are connecting through SQL Auth rather than Windows Auth. (there is a SQL user in the database)
Although This has never been a problem before.

What often happens when SQL Authentication is used, especially in Novell environments (not sure if you are) is that the Windows authentication to SQL is achieved by mapping a drive using admin privileges as part of their logon script.
