I have installed 2005 in a new machine with reporting services and configured the reporting services fine. I see the virtual directories fine in IIS but when I try connecting to the report server using IE (http://localhost/reports or http://servername/reports) i get page cannot be displayed errro. When I try connecting using management studio I get the following error
TITLE: Connect to Server
------------------------------
Cannot connect to BLRPTSQL03T.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.UI.RSClient)

Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. (System)

I donot see any errors in the event logs or the report server logs. Any help with this issue greatly appreciated

Was this a clean install? And was RS configured before any service packs applied?
And is the account admin on the box?
If the RS db is on another server, you have to set up Kerberos.

actually the issue was with corrupted installation of IIS and ASP.NET.
What I did to resolve this was Uninstall IIS, ASP.NET from windows then uninstall sql server. reinstall in the same order It worked for me.

which operating system you are using ?
Suggestion:
> Repair IIS, if not possible then reinstall.
> Repair SQL Server.
> Repair ASP.NET.
The above things not working, then completely uninstall and reinstall all components.
