I posted this in the other reporting services forum, hadn't seen the admin section at first. Thanks,
------------------------------------
good morning,
first, let me say that I am relatively new with managing sql server. I am running WinXP, with SQL server 2005 SP2 (its a dev. box). I installed report server and it seems to have worked alright, however, when I try to open configuration manager, it automatically comes up with an error message of 'Not Found'. I am on the machine locally, but seemingly unable to connect.
Anyone have any ideas what could cause this? Thanks for any help.

Are you talking about the Reporting Services Configuration Tool ? Please check if the executable file is available at :
"[DriveName]:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Binn\RSConfigTool.exe"

Yes, the executable is there and I can open it from Programs. However, as soon as it opens, I get a message that config. mgr cannot connect to my server. If I try to change the server name it won't even try to connect.
This is all on the same machine, and I can log in to the machine, not trying any of this remotely.
