Cancelling a DB thats restoring

  • Hi all

What happens to a DB if you cancelled the restore for a DB thats been set to overwrite existing. How does the rollback work? Will the DB contain only partial data?

    Thanks

  • Not sure the state of the database when the "cancel" was requested and how it "cancelled" - the best advice would be to do a restore prior to the aborted restore.

    ( Just my opinion )

    Regards

Please don't trust me, test the solutions I give you before using them.

  • The remaining database will be marked as in the middle of a restore and will be unusable. You'd have to restart the restore and complete it to access the database.
