I had a backup running to another server as a pre-migration test, but it's taking MUCH longer than it should. I'm going to cancel it and troubleshoot the slow connection. Are there any implications to the live database to have an aborted backup ? I was unable to backup t-logs while the backup was running, so I've immediately started the t-log backup now.

That should not cause you any problems. The LSN should not get set until the end of the backup, so you should not be hurt on that front.

No issues. These get cancelled. You could even restart the server and you'd be OK as if you never ran it.
