Let me ask a different question on what planet is the employer? The last time I helped with SQL Server 6.5 was in 2006 the state of New York employee writing Asp.net application with 6.5.

The log formats are different, and can't restore between each other. I think that if you had a database in 56 mode that you could log ship between two versions on 2008.

I am not sure.
All I wanted to know is, we can suggest a work around to his problem.
Without that, it is we, who reply between our posts and OP wouldn't reply what's in his / his boss mind.
