  Hi all,

  Can we use Auto update stasitsic in Production server where it runs 24/7

  In our organization there might be a frequent issue like performance slow running sqlserver produciton databases

  verison is SQL Server 2005 Standard Editons.

  where in this case if we run update stats it will increase the perfomance and might slove the issue " is this approch good or bad "

  And what are all the things we have to follow to solve the issue for SQL server Standard Editons2005 can any one say the steps to follow

  If you have big tables in your database, then you can additionally use trace flag 2371 - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/saponsqlserver/archive/2011/09/07/changes-to-automatic-update-statistics-in-sql-server-traceflag-2371.aspx
