Hi,
We have SQL Server 2005 x64 Enterprise Edition with SP3 on a two node active/passive Windows 2003 Cluster.
Now we are planning to upgrade to SQL Server 2008 x64 Standard Edition With SP1 on a two node active/passive Windows 2008 cluster using Side-by-Side upgrade method and want to make sure whether this upgrade path is supported or not by MS?
So does upgrading SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition to SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition supported by MS?
Could you please provide me the MS links
Thanks

Just to be clear - you are not really upgrading an instance of SQL Server. You are installing a new instance and migrating the databases to the new instance.
