Can we run log backups during the full backup?

    Hi,

    We have SQL Server 2008 R2. We have full/diff and log shipping every 15 mins.

    The full backup of all databases starts 7pm and finishes in 5 hours.

    In this 5 hours window, log shipping log backups continue to run. So I believe, Full backups and log backups can run at same time or during the full backup of database, log backup can run.

    Please advice Microsoft documentations which clarifies this.

    Yes, you can run log backups during a full backup. As for documentation, try Books Online. Should be in there
